About KPANA

KPANA, pronounced (pã•na), is an online cut and sew brand based out of Nashville, TN that specializes in prom and formal wear. Customers can purchase pre-made designs or send in their own ideas to be brought to life by designer Raveen Johnson.

The Designer Raveen Denise Johnson

Raveen Johnson is a 21-year-old Nashville native and the mastermind behind the brand. She received her first sewing machine when she was only 11 years old, but did not start designing actual clothing until she was 17. In the early months of 2016, Raveen began to create her own prom dress. In April, when everyone found out the dress was her work, she immediately began receiving inquiries for the following year. Soon after, she began accepting clients and developing her brand: Kpana.

The Inspiration DeAndre Tejan Kpana-Quamoh

The name Kpana is a dedication to Raveen's best friend DeAndre, better known as KP, who passed away in May 2016. After months of struggling to find a way to incorporate him into the brand, Raveen's sister finally suggesting the name "Kpana" which is the first half of his hyphenated last name.
